About Us

KOOHLA was inspired by a romantic chapter of life spent in Montenegro. The country occupies a unique place in the imagination. Long associated with Venetian architecture, grand hotels, superyachts and casino lounges, it has become synonymous with a more relaxed expression of elegance.

Founded amongst the hubbub of Porto Montenegro's private members' club and hospitality scene, KOOHLA draws inspiration from the people, places and cultures that converge in the enchanting Bay of Kotor. We wanted clothing that reflected the spirit of riviera living: relaxed but refined, colourful but tasteful, and versatile enough to move effortlessly from sea to supper.

At its heart, KOOHLA is a celebration of summer layering. We felt men's warm-weather wardrobes had become overly reliant and remarkably limited to the same familiar formula of linen shirts and trousers. Our jackets are designed to offer something different: a breathable extra layer that brings colour and personality to summer dressing, without compromising comfort.
